There’s something special about watching a design come to life in layers 🤍
These botanical mugs start as the simplest pencil sketch with loose lines and soft florals. I'm just mapping out movement and balance around the curve of the form. I don’t aim for perfection at this stage… just rhythm.
Next comes the underglaze. I paint freely, letting brush strokes stay visible so the piece still feels alive and handmade. The blue deepens and shifts as it dries, and I can start to see the personality of the mug emerge.
Then the kiln does its quiet magic. After glaze firing, everything softens and settles — the surface turns glossy, the blues deepen, and the sketch becomes part of the clay itself.
From line → to brush → to finished mug, ready for its debut.
Each one is painted by hand, so no two bouquets will ever be exactly the same. 🌿
